Identifying Emotional Abuse

One woman — one of countless — shares the whats and hows of the emotional and psychological abuse she went through. Every story varies one to the next, but yet so much is the same.

“We have to talk about this stuff,” says Estelle, a contributor at HuffPo. “It’s not just about being hit or having your life in danger. It’s also about being debased, minimized, dependent and afraid. It’s about being made to feel like less by someone who knows all your insecurities so intimately they know exactly how to work you.”
