Three Rules for Resume Writing

How do you write a tidy but powerful resume? There are three basic rules of approach to keep in mind.

#1 – Be authentic. Only share stuff that’s absolutely true at its core, even (or especially) when you’re using impressive language.

#2 – Err on the side of too much confidence, rather than humility. This won’t work against you as long as you stick to rule #1.

#3 – Pay close — and I mean close — attention to formatting.

Keep these in mind and you’ll be on your way to a resume you can be proud of.
